Where is the serial number for my unit? What does it look like?
Serial number is a string of numbers and letters unique to your unity located on the underside of your unit.
How do I clean my unit and how often does it need to be cleaned?
Like other coin sorters, regular maintenance and cleaning are crucial to prolonging the lifespan of the Cassida C850. Keeping the unit clean prevents issues that could lead to costly repairs. Dirty sensors can impair performance and result in various errors (see the user manual for code explanations). Cassida recommends weekly cleaning to ensure optimal performance. What does this error mean?
Error Code | Cause | Corrective Action |
EJ | The counting sensor is blocked with debris. |
Turn off and unplug the machine. Open the side cover and swing up the front feed pulley arm and lock plate. Remove the coin feed V-Belt from the front feed pulley arm. Clean the counting sensor using a soft brush and compressed air. Reinstall the V-belt and close the lock plate and front feed puley arm (refer to section 3.2 of the C850 user manual). |
Does this unit keep count of coins added?
Yes, to turn on ADD mode on the C850 press the ADD button (the display should show ADD on the left side when activated).
Does this unit recognize coin value?
No the C850 does not recognize coin value, the way the machine sorts through coins is by setting the thickness and diameter of the coin you want sorted. For more detailed information on how to sort mixed coin denominations please refer to section 2.6 of the C850 user manual.
Does the C850 sort coins?
Yes, the C850 can sort coins but it is only able to sort 1 denomination at a time. The way the C850 sorts through coins is by setting the thickness and diameter of the coin you want sorted. Why does my unit jam?
