Where is the serial number for my unit? What does it look like?

A:Your serial number is a string of numbers and letters unique to your unity located on the underside of your unit.

How do I clean my unit and how often does it need to be cleaned?

A:Standard maintenance and cleaning of the unit are important and recommended to significantly prolong the lifespan of the product. Cleaning the unit helps prevent issues that may lead to costly repairs. Dirty sensors can affect the overall performance of the Cassida C300, which can lead to a variety of errors such as E1 - E9 and EA codes (please see user manual for code explanations). We at Cassida suggest performing weekly cleaning on the unit to maintain top performance. Below is a link to the Cleaning Procedure for the C300 which can also be downloaded as a PDF.

What does this error mean?

A:
Error Code Cause Corrective Action
E1 - E8 A counting sensor may have collected dust, or is obscured by a foreign object.

Clean the counting sensor using a Cassida air duster and a CleanPro swab (refer to section 3.1, step 4-6).

Inspect coin outlet openings for possible foreign material that may be present (rubber bands, paper, etc.).
E9 Run sensor does not detect rotation of the coin platter.

Clean the running sensor (refer to section 3.1, step 7-9).

If the error persists, contact Cassida Technical Support (refer to section 3.3).
EA Coins present in the hopper when the machine/distribution wheel is turned on or defective coin sensor.

Press the "START/STOP" button to clear the error. Empty any coins in coin trays back into hopper.

Inspect the interior of the machine for possible foreign material that may be preventing the coin platter from rotating (refer to section 3.1, step 10).

If the error persists, contact Cassida Technical Support (refer to section 3.3).

Does This unit keep count of coins added?

A:Yes, the C300 operates in ADD mode by default. In ADD mode, the coin count is added to the count from the previous batches. To start a new count, press the "C" button. This will reset the coin count size to zero.

Does this unit recognize coin value?

A:Yes, the C300 can sort coins into bins, or you can sort and wrap coin rolls using the provided coin tubes.

Does the C300 wrap/roll coins?

A:Yes, the C300 can wrap/roll coins using the provided coin tubes. You can quickly set the preset batch amounts for all coin denominations by simply holding down the "+" button for 3 seconds. You can also use just the coin bins to sort large amounts of coins.

How do I print?

A:Cassida recommends using the Universal Cash Handling Thermal Printer that comes with all the necessary cables to work with Cassida’s products. With a DB9 cable, connect the printer to the printer port in the back of the C300 (RS232), then press the ‘’PRINT’’ button while on the report screen showing all the counts. If a printer is connected to the machine, a detailed printout of the counting report will be produced.

Why does my unit jam?

A:Majority of jamming issues with the C300 happen with overloading the hopper. When loading the C300 make sure not to pass the embossed logo in the hopper. If the unit still continues to jam, please contact Cassida Technical Service team for assistance and or next steps.

What does the 1-year warranty cover?

My unit does not power on.

A:Please ensure the unit is turned off and the power cord disconnected, then check the fuse at the bottom of the unit and replace it if damaged (F2AL250V). When I first started using this device, I encountered a few hiccups. While wrapping up a few hundred bucks worth of coins, the tubes kept getting overloaded. However, after resetting the machine a couple of times, I haven't had any problems. All in all, it's a fantastic gadget that makes sorting and wrapping coins a total cakewalk.

It appears to be rather precise, but you must ensure that you inspect for any coins that may have slipped through before powering it on; otherwise, you'll be left wondering and recounting. I've utilized the coin-rolling function a few times, and it performs adequately, but I only rolled quarters. The most bothersome aspect is that the coin sorter cups aren't securely fastened. If you bump the device, the cups will fall out. It even ejected the quarter cup in the middle of counting once, so now I grasp them tightly during counting. All in all, this is a decent machine for the price. It's a bit bulky and has its peculiarities, but it's been precise and saved me time.

Great product! This machine has made my life much easier when sorting through the change I've collected over the year. Since banks no longer count change, this was a wise investment for me. I would never consider using a coinstar or other coin counter at the store, where they charge an exorbitant 11.9%. I highly recommend this to anyone who collects a lot of change and needs it rolled for deposit at the bank. It counted $500 during its first use with minimal issues. A++++
