Machine fails to detect counterfeit notes. Note: The Cassida Advantec 75 currency counters, like all other counters with the integrated detectors in todays market, cannot guarantee a counted bill to be genuine or counterfeit. There are several reasons a genuine bill may be recognized as counterfeit, or vice versa. Possible reasons include direct sunlight exposure, worn bills, excessively dirty bills or highly advanced counterfeiting techniques used to produce the bill. Seperate equipment may be required to definitely determine whether or not a bill is counterfeit. |
N/A | Ensure counterfeit detection is turned on. Adjust counterfeit detection sensitivity. See Section 5.1 and 5.2 of the Advantec 75 User Manual. |

Does my unit detect counterfeit notes?
The Cassida Advantec75 is designed to detect and flag any suspected counterfeit notes depending on the model of your unit. The base model Advantec75 utilizes Infared Sensors (IR). The UV model utilizes both IR and Ultraviolet (UV) sensors. The UV/MG model utilizes IR, UV and Magnetic (MG) sensors.
What could cause false counterfeit detection?
A detector may flag genuine currency as suspect for several reasons. If bills are worn, bent, torn, or crumpled, the anti-counterfeit features required to verify authenticity may be compromised. For instance, magnetic ink may wear down over time or with heavy use, reducing the magnetic response below detection thresholds. If the Advantec 75 cannot verify the expected features on a note, it will flag the currency as 'SUSPECT.' Additionally, dirty or damaged sensors, incorrect calibration, or operating conditions may lead to false positives. To minimize these errors, avoid direct sunlight and reduce potential interference. If issues persist under normal conditions, please contact Cassida Technical Support for assistance.
Why is my unit counting notes incorrectly?
Improper bill loading is a common cause of miscounting. The Advantec 75 typically displays an error message with instructions to resolve the issue and reload the currency. Another common cause of miscounting is poor maintenance; sensors must be clean and free of debris to function properly. If sensors are obscured, SUSPECT errors may occur. In rare cases, an electromechanical failure may cause all notes to be sensed incorrectly. For frequent, repeatable denomination errors, please contact Cassida Technical Support for repair.

Cleaning Procedure
Regular maintenance and cleaning are essential to prolong the lifespan of any bill counter, including Cassida's Advantec 75. Keeping the unit clean helps prevent issues that could result in costly repairs. Dirty sensors can impact performance, potentially causing errors such as the rejection of genuine bills. To maintain optimal performance, Cassida recommends weekly cleaning of the unit.

Feed Gap Adjustment Procedure
Feed gap adjustment of the unit is always performed before shipment. However, feed gap adjustments may be required periodically. The rubber components in the feeding mechanism will wear over time, causing the feed gap to get enlarged. This can lead to Double Note (DBL), Half Note (HLF), and Chain Note (CHN) Errors.
