Refurbished & Used Products - Warranty, Return & Grading Policy
1. Purpose and Scope
This policy explains how Cassida Corporation grades, warranties, and accepts returns on refurbished and used cash handling equipment sold through Temu and eBay marketplace listings. This policy is for Red & Green Products Only.
It applies to two categories of products, which carry different terms:
- Refurbished - units from Cassida’s current product line that have been inspected, tested, and assigned a condition grade.
- Used - units from a discontinued product line, sold without refurbishment grading.
This policy does not apply to new products, which follow Cassida’s standard new product warranty and return policies.
2. Product Classification: Refurbished vs. Used

A discontinued unit is never listed as Refurbished. It is listed as Used and carries the more limited terms shown above.
3. Grading and Serial Number System
Every refurbished unit is graded based on (a) how many bills it has run through it, and (b) its cosmetic and functional condition. All grades, regardless of tier, require the unit to be 100% functional and fully tested before resale.
3.1 Mixed Value Counters
Mixed Value Counters use the most detailed grading scale, because mixed-value counting, sorting, and authentication is more complex than the single-function equipment in Section 3.2, so a wider condition spread needs more precise grading.

Original or replacement packaging acceptable. Must include at minimum power cord, new calibration card, and bill guides. Accessories may show normal wear. |

| B3 - Fair (100,000 - 500,000 bills) | 100% functional. Significant cosmetic wear, including multiple scratches, scuffs, dents, or discoloration. External display required and may be heavily worn. 3.2 Bill Counters, Counterfeit Detectors and Coin Sorters
These three categories use a simpler A/B/C grading scale.
Bill Counters

Counterfeit Detectors

Coin Sorters

Light to moderate cosmetic wear is acceptable on both the housing and hopper, including visible scratches, scuffs, minor surface marks, and small dents. No cracks, broken housing, or damage affecting operation. Original or replacement packaging acceptable. Power cord and all components necessary for normal operation must be included. Accessories may show normal signs of use and wear. |
| C - Fair (500,000+ bills) | 100% functional after refurbishment and fully tested. Moderate to heavy cosmetic wear is acceptable on the housing and hopper, including deeper scratches, scuffs, dents, discoloration, worn surfaces, and obvious signs of previous use. Cosmetic damage must not affect structural integrity or operation. Original box not required; replacement/refurbished packaging acceptable. Power cord and minimum components required for normal operation must be included. Accessories may be heavily worn or used. |
3.3 Serial Number Format
Refurbished units are re-serialized using the format R......A, where:
- R identifies the unit as Refurbished.
- The middle digits are the unit’s underlying serial number.
- The final letter/code is the assigned grade (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, C1, C2, C3 for Mixed Value Counters; A, B, or C for the other categories).
Used units are re-serialized using the format U......A, where:
- U identifies the unit as Used
- The middle digits are the unit’s underlying serial number.

4. Warranty Policy
4.1 Refurbished Products: 60-Day Limited Warranty
Refurbished units carry a 60-day limited warranty from the date of delivery.
Covered
- Manufacturing or mechanical defects not disclosed at the time of sale.
- Failure of core counting, sorting, or detection functions under normal use.
- Electrical faults not caused by misuse or unauthorized modification.
Not covered
- Cosmetic wear consistent with the unit’s disclosed grade.
- Consumable or wear parts (rollers, belts, cleaning components).
- Damage from misuse, drops, liquid exposure, or unauthorized repair.
4.2 Used Products: No Warranty
Used units are sold as-is, with no warranty and no repair coverage.
4.3 How to File a Warranty Claim
- Email warranty@cassidausa.com with the order number, the unit’s serial number, and a description of the issue.
- A Customer Service Representative will confirm eligibility and, if needed, issue an RMA number for the unit to be sent to Cassida’s repair facility.
- Cassida will inspect the unit and repair, replace, or refund at Cassida’s discretion.
5. Return Policy
5.1 Refurbished Products: 30-Day Return Window
Refurbished units may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
5.2 Return Conditions and Fees

5.3 Used Products: 30-Day Return Window
Used units may also be returned within 30 days of delivery, under the same conditions described in Section 5.2. Used units do not carry a warranty (Section 4.2).
5.4 Return Instructions
- Email onlinereturns@cassidausa.com, referencing the item’s order number and serial number.
- A Customer Service Representative will issue an RMA number.
- Package the unit securely in its original or replacement packaging with all included accessories, and mark the RMA number clearly on the outside of the box.
- Ship to: Cassida Corporation, RMA # [XXXXXX], 10730 Thornmint Road, San Diego, CA 92127.
Returns received without a valid RMA number will be refused and returned to sender. Inspection and processing typically take 7 to 10 business days.
6. Sales Channels
Refurbished and Used units are sold through Temu and eBay marketplace listings. These platforms offer Cassida Certified Refurbished Products.
- The terms of this policy apply only to Cassida Certified Refurbished Products purchased through Temu and eBay.
- This policy does not apply to purchases made through other marketplaces, including Amazon, Walmart, or other third-party platforms, as products sold through those marketplaces are not part of the Cassida Certified Refurbished Program.
Temu and eBay listings may display a general condition label, such as “Like New,” “Very Good,” or “Good.” These labels correspond to the product grades described in Section 3 of this policy.
