Where is the serial number for my unit? What does it look like?
Serial number is a string of numbers and letters unique to your unity located on the underside of your unit.
How do I clean my unit and how often does it need to be cleaned?
Like other coin sorters on the market, standard maintenance and cleaning of the unit are important and recommended to significantly prolonging the lifespan of the product. Cleaning the unit helps prevent issues that may lead to costly repairs.
Dirty sensors can affect the overall performance of the Cassida's C500, which can lead to a variety of errors (Please see user manual for code explanations). We at Cassida suggest performing weekly cleaning on the unit to maintain top performance. What does this error mean?
Error Code | Cause | Corrective Action |
E60 | Coins are jammed in the machine. |
Stop the machine, open the cover (refer to section 3.1 Maintenance of the C500 user manual) Clear the jam. Then press the Start/Stop key and restart the machine. |
E04 | The machine cover is removed or not installed properly. |
Stop the machine and make sure the cover is secure, then start the machine again. |
Does This unit keep count of coins added?
Yes, to turn on ADD mode on the C500 press the ADD key (the indicator light above the ADD key will be lit).
Does this unit recognize coin value?
No the C500 does not recognize coin value, the way the machine sorts through coins is by setting the thickness and diameter of the coin you want sorted. For more detailed information on how to sort mixed coin denominations please refer to section 2.4 of the C500 user manual.
Does the C500 sort coins?
Yes, the C500 can sort coins but it is only able to sort 1 denomination at a time. The way the C500 sorts through coins is by setting the thickness and diameter of the coin you want sorted. Does the C500 wrap/roll coins?
Yes, the C500 is able to wrap/roll coins but need specific coin tube attachments to do so (sold seperately). Once you have the proper attachments, then you would use batch mode to set the proper batch amount for the desired coin roll. For more information on how to use BATCH mode on the C500 refer to section 2.3 of the C500 user manual.
Why does my unit jam?
Most of the problems in the machine can be avoided through regular and preventative maintenance. Regular maintenance of you coin counter can significantly prolong its service life.
