How do I clean my unit and how often does it need to be cleaned?
A:Standard maintenance and cleaning of the unit are important and are recommended to prolong the lifespan of the product significantly. Cleaning the unit helps prevent issues that may lead to costly repairs. We at Cassida suggest performing weekly cleaning on the unit to maintain top performance. Why does my unit jam or not recognize genuine bills?
A:There are several factors that can cause a Cassida 6600 to jam or not recognize genuine bills: Overly wrinkled, overly creased, overly worn, and vandalized bills; Foreign objects dropped or run through the bill path; Dropping the unit or bumping into the unit during use A harsh change in Extended temperature period of non-use Improper maintenance or lack of preventative maintenance/cleaning. What does this error mean?
A:

| UV | Suspect bill detected. | Remove the last bill from the stacker and press the START button to continue counting. The suspect bill will not be added to the count. Refer to section 4.1 of the user manual for more details. |

Does my unit detect counterfeit notes?
A:The Cassida 6600 is designed to detect and flag any suspected counterfeit notes. This unit provides Ultraviolet (UV), and Magnetic (MG) (MG available on certain model).
What could cause false counterfeit detection?
A:There are a few reasons that a detector may flag genuine currency as suspect. If bills are worn, bent, torn, or crumpled, the anti-counterfeit features needed to verify a bill as genuine may be compromised. For example, the magnetic ink on a note may wear over time or heavy use, reducing the magnetic response to below detection thresholds. If the 6600 cannot verify the correct features expected on a note, the unit will flag that currency as ‘SUSPECT’. If sensors are dirty or damaged, the 6600 will not be able to detect the necessary anti-counterfeit features needed to verify currency as genuine. Another possible reason is that the detection sensors may be incorrectly calibrated, lost reference, or be under operating conditions that cause false positives. In order to reduce these error types, it is advised to operate the unit out of direct sunlight and reduce interference that may cause sensor errors. If this occurs frequently under normal operation, please contact Cassida Technical Support for troubleshooting or service.
Why is my unit counting notes incorrectly?
A:One of the most common reasons for miscounting is improper bill loading. In most cases the 6600 will display an error message with clear instructions on how to resolve the issue and reload the currency. The second most common reason of miscounting is poor maintenance of the unit. Each sensor needs to be cleaned and free of any debris to operate correctly. Due to the complexity of the sensing mechanisms, the unit must be able to sense all features which are expected on genuine currency. SUSPECT errors may occur if sensors are obscured. In rare cases, electromechanical failure of the unit will cause all notes to be sensed incorrectly. For frequesnt, repeatable improper denomination errors, please contact Cassida Technical Support for repair.
Does this unit process bills in customized amount?
A:Yes, with BATCH mode you can set a customized amount for bills while counting.
Does this unit keep count of bills added?
A:Yes, you can toggle on and off ADD mode for counting multiple or seperate batches of bills.
Does this unit recognize note value?
A:No, the 6600 does not recognize note value automatically, but with ValuCount, you can manually select the denomination you want counted and it will tally the number of bills as well as give the total value amount counted.
What is ValuCount?
A:ValuCount is a special feature on the 6600 that allows you to calculate the monetary value of a selected denomination. By pressing the "Value" button you can cycle through and select your desired counting denomination.
Does this unit sort bills?
A:No, the 5520 does not sort bills, it only counts.
Can this unit count a mix stack of bills?
A:No, the Cassida 6600 is a bill counter that can be set to recognize a specific denomination through ValuCount. This money counting machine is absolutely fantastic. It's the best option for its price range. I've been using it heavily for 2.5 months now and it hasn't made a single mistake. I even tested it with some counterfeit bills we confiscated and it caught every one. The build quality is excellent, as is the coin-counter I bought from the same maker. Both are far superior to others on the market, including one I saw at Costco for a similar price. This machine does it all, from adding up totals to auto-start/stop for regular, preset, and custom batches. The only way it could be better is if it could automatically detect and count mixed bill values in a single stack. However, that feature is usually only found on machines that cost 3-4 times as much and isn't very accurate anyway. Pro tip: Use the included brush to clean the rubber wheels for a smooth feed. The unit also comes with an extra set of replacement wheels for when they wear down.

As a small business owner, I used to waste a lot of time counting morning deposits and making tired mistakes. I dreaded this chore every morning. However, now I simply straighten out the bills and drop them in the machine in denominations order (following easy directions). It only takes me five minutes to finish my deposits, as opposed to the 20-25 minutes it took me before. I highly recommend this machine for small to medium-sized businesses. It may not be suitable for larger businesses that require a more sophisticated machine capable of recognizing bill denominations, but it works perfectly for my small business. I find it accurate, easy to use, and a very small investment.

We haven't encountered any problems with their counting or performance. Plus, they were both good to go straight out of the packaging. No fiddling around necessary. It's worth noting that we don't handle a ton of cash, so I can't speak to how well the machines would handle a heavier load.
